Tex., Oct. 2. -The negro Lee Green, who murdered the family of Furmer Lowe, seven miles west of Queen City, Saturaay, was arrested last night near Kildare, and hurried to jail at Linden. A crowd appeaved at the jail at 5 o'clock this morning and demanded the keys from the sheriffs wife, ‘who was forced to surrender them. The de- termined men, who composed the part took Green from jail and lockea the door and delivered the keys back to Mrs. Lanier, the sheriffs wife. They took him to the sceno of the tragedy and d him over to the husband of the murdered woman who ob- tained a full confession from him. Green acknowledeed that he did the for money—8i0—and killed the avoid detection, He at first implicated three other negroes but finally said no one aidea him, but another negro shared in the fzain.
