Its proprietor, Mr. Hoarst, son of the late Senutor Hoarst of California, who has a very large fortune at his command, concef the idea of establishing a burcau of claims Washington, manned by the ablest iawyers and spocialists conversant with the routine work in the various departments and bureaus of tho governmont. The object of Mr. Hearst in this undertaking is clearly set forth in the prospectus taken from the Examiner to be published in & later issue of Tue I When the announcement of this new do parture was made negotiations wore at once entered into botween Tue Bek and the pro- prietor of the Examiner to join hands and mutually share in the enterprise. These a rangements have now been perfected aud agreements entered into by which TurBee bo comes a co-worker of the Examiner in the territory where e BEE enjoys so oxtensive a subscription patronage. Under this arrangement all applications for claims, cither for pensions, Indian depreda- tions, land or mining claims, patent or postal claims in the states of lowa, Kansas, South Dakota and Nebraska, will bo taken in hand by Tur Bee Bureau of Claimsia O niha an through it forwarded to headquarters at washington where the Examiner bureau will prosecuto them to a final and speedy con- clusion, Tie Brr takes pleasure in offering to all its patrons and particularly to subscribers to Tue WeekLy Big, the servicos of this new bureau which, we have no doubt, will prove of great advantage to them, both in prose- cutingnew claims to a succossful issue and inexpediting all clains entrusted to Tug Bee burcau, The Conditions. As a condition precedent to any person availing himself of theservices of the bureau, Tue Bee will require that the applicaat shalt send in & subscription to Tz O Weekly Bee for o year. A remittance of 1 will entitlo the person sending it to ono subscription and also a membership in ms Bureau association composed en- tirely of subscribers to Tur: Bee. All persons now subscribers of Tne WeEKLY Bre who will send us one new sub- seriber will be entitled to wembership in the association in_ their own names and the new subscriber will also rocoive one certificato of membership besides his paper. ubscribors of Tiik DaiLy Bee who send ) subscriptions to the woekly will bo en- titled to the same privileges as those of Tix WeekLy Bee No service will be undertaken for any per- son who is not an actual subscriber of Tie B, The Terms. The terms under which prosccuted will depend entirely upon tho amount of service rendered in cach case, We can safely assure all patrons of the buraau that the charges will bo very much lower than rates charged by the regular claims lawy Jiand claims agents at Washington. Itgo without saying that the Examiner and Tie Bee are in position conjointly to ex- pedite business and do service at move lib- cral rates than any other medium for the prosecution of clams, In he matter of fees and charges Tur Bex desires only to clear exponses. 'The bureau is intended for the relief of the people from the rapacity of legalsharks. In many cases fees allowed attorneys are irrevocably fixed by law, aud n such the question is decided. In other claims such a charge will be made as seems to cover the actual oxpenses involved in collection We make no effort to patronage, as does tho or who seeks your elaim for a financial cousiderution. Such is not our pur- pose. We offer to one und all the sorvices of a well equipped bureau, where a claim of any nature can be sent, or_information in regard thereto be obtained. I your claim is worth- less or illegitimate you will be so notifind without feav or favor, 1f the cluaim is gen- uine it will receive prompt attention und eMcient prosccution. If unsuccessful, no charge will be made; provided, however, that claimants must defray theiv own ex penses in the proparation of wilidavits, depo- sitions, and other evidence outside of Wash- ingtou. We will furnish the necessavy legal papers and bear the Washington expenses only in unsuccessful ciaims. When claims are allowed, a reasonable fee will be charged to cover actual cost, All letters will be promptly answered and all information concerning form of applica- tions for claims, terms, ote., will be given with as little delay as practicable. No leter will be answered unloss the seuder encloses requisite stamos for reply. No i formation concerning any particular claim will ve im- parted until the applicant has become a member of The Bee Claims Bureau assoct tion.
