Her namo was Rose Hortz Hor parents reside at 11041 south Seventh street, where also a married sister also has her home. A younger sister, Edith, works m Darst’s wholesale liquor hotse on Farnam street, The news of the death reached this city early last week in a telegram to Idith, an- nouncing that Rose had been shot. Several other telegrams follewed to other members dith was seen by a Bre re. porter, to whow she said the shooting of her sister had beenaceidental, and that she did not know by whom the shothad been fired. Another story was in civeulation, and through people who claimed to have spoken with some members of the Hortz family, that Rosehad been paid attentions by a young man, and that the latter’s jealousy had been aroused by the devotion of a rival, and that during this fit of jealousy the former shot Rosein the cheek. "The fivst telegram received by Edith came from o man named Labenze; somme of the oth ers following contained facts regarding forwarding of the remains (o this city latter reached this city last Saturds ing, and Mike Maul was notified, moved them to his establishment on stroet, The funeral took place in the afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev.
