The Milwaukee will commence running its passenger trains into Omaha January 1. This is in accordance with an agreement entered into between the Union Pecific and the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul com- panies nearly a year ago. The date for the operation of the agreement was fixed several times, but a postponement was occasioned by one réason or another, It has now beon difinitely arranged, how- ever, that the Milwaukea trains will run solid from Chicago to the union depot in this city, commencing January 1. The arrangement will prove of great benefit to the Milwaukee and to Omaha. Milwaukee Appointments, The following appointments and changes on the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul have been made, taking effect January 1: G. F. Sioux City and Dakota di- vision, The Switchmen's Troubles, The reported general disaffection among the west switchmen is not generally ited by Union Pacific officials, although that company has been having cousiderable troublo with men at various western points. At Ogden, Pocatello and Rock Springs the places of the striking switchmen have been filled by new men and the business of the company is being handled as usual without any dela, he switchmen at Rawlins went out but’ their cro filled promptly without auy inconvenience to the company.
