Tho county board may grant Licenses upon the petition ¢f thirty resident freeholders of the precinct where the sale of liquor is proposed, and setting forth that the applicant is & man or reputable character and a resident of the state. The application must be accompanied by any sum which the board may require not loss than §500, Sec. 2. No action shall be taken on the ap- plication till notice tias been published for at least two weeks In the paper in the county having the largest ciroulations Sec. 8. If a remonstrance is filod the boara shall appoint a day for hoaring, and it it be shown that the applicant has violated the license law within a year, or if any former license has been revoked for a m demeanor the board shall refuse him a ilvense. Sec. 4. There is an anpeal cense board to the district court. Sec. 5, The iiconse shail be for not more thau one year for a specified place and is nos transferable and way be revoked whenever violated. When a person has become a county or city charge from intemperance o suit may be brought against any oue in the habit of furnishing him liguor, and hein his turn may recovor a proportionate part from any others, Sec. 18.
