"BELT" TO BF T A New Girdle Line Around Omaha, Omaha is to have another “belt line’ rail- way. The road will be bullt by the Burling- ton. The survey of the lino has just been completed. The road will connect with the main line at South Omuha and ba extended to the main line at Bellevue. 1t will paraliel the Union Pacitio suburban line to Albright, thence run in a_southeastern direction cross- ing Potter & Cobb's addition and Brown’s park and thence it will run almost due cast to Bellovue. This will be of moment to Omaha when it 18 comploted, as it is the intention of the Burlington company to ablish passengor stations along the lino and put on suburban trains between Omaha and Bellevue that will in all probability be run hourly. It will be the means, 1t is said, of developing n large tract of undeveloped residenco and business property lying southeast of the city and run in closo proximixy to the alleged new fort site. It has long been known that the Burling- ton has been anxious to establish an outlet for its freight, especially live stock, 5o us 10 relieve the line of an excess of trains ae com. pared with the accommodations provided be- tween South Omaha and Bellevue, and also procure an outlet for its freight so as to do wway with the running of stock trams throngh the heart of dhe cit Omaha, The right of way has boen secured.
