The Ramors of Foul Play in Connec- tion With Neison's Death. “Itisall rank nonsense,” said Coroner Drexel yesterday, when questioned with ref- erence to the rumors of foul play in connec- tion with the death of Nelson, near Irving- ton. ‘‘There was but one bullet hole in Nel- son when he was found, and that was in his forchead. His arm was not broken, and there were no other bullet holes in his body. The body was almost as dry as parchment. I cut the clothing from his body, and know that there were no such mutilations as were reported, There is not often a murder with- out a motive, and I have not been able to discover any in this case. Nelson had $5 in his pockets when found, 8o if he was mur- dered robbery could not have been the cause. The deceascd was mother of Etias Heyman, of the ladies’ furuishing store of Heymau & Deiches. She was sov- enty-six years of age and leaves five full grown children. She had been ill for some months. Three weeks ago Mr. Heyman re- turned from a visit at which time no danger of death was apprehended. James Falconer, proprietor of the Caledonia saloon on Dodge street, died Wednesday at St. Joseph’s hospital of erysipelas. His body was moved to Drexel & Maul’s, and prepared for burial. Mr. Falconer was born is Edinburg, Scot- land, in 1846. He came to Omaba in 1867, where he has remained continuously ever since, For o number of years past he has been in the lquor business, conducting saloons at various times in the' basement of the opera house, near Saddle creek, Douglas near Fifteenth, and most recently at tho New Caledonia, as mentioned above. The funeral will take place to-day at 2p, m,, from the late residenco of the de- ceased corner Seventeenth and Leavenworth streets.
