The Springville Cemetery association is a new grave yurd organization which filed articles of incorporation, yesterday, with the county clerk. A. Norgard is president of the association, H. Elkjer secrotary and A. P. Grom treasurer. The trustees, aside from the officers, are Cnarles Anderson, L. Han- sen, C. Hansen and P. M. Bock. Passed Bad Money. Peter Fogarty, a young man who passed a sounterfeit dollar on the proprietress of a Ninth gtreet bagnio a few nights ago, was nrraigned before United States Commis- sioner Anderson yesterd afternoon, Fo- garty was held to the United States district courtin the sum of §500, in default of which be was committed. She wrote to Judge Shields yester- day, telling him that she had recently learned that her husbaud’s real name is Beresford and that he has two other undi- vorced wives, Sho wrote to the county ludge for information concerning the legal status of the matter. Mr. Winnie re- ceived a telegram from home notifying him that his wife was dying, and he departed at once for Now York, Rancy Will Probably Live. The St. Joe Guzette says that ** ‘Buck’ Rauoy, formerly a wember of the Omaha fire department, who was stabbed in that city by one John Croteau, on Monday, is somewhst bettor, and there 1s now a proba- bility of his recovory. He is still very weak, eaused by the great amount of blood he lost. The wound in his neck has not yet began to heal. Croteau, the man who did the cutting, in still in the city and was at work Wednesday. It is not probable he will bo arrested, as Raney does not desire to osccute. In case of Raney's death he will put to cousiderable trouble, but in case of his recovery he will not be molested. A motion for an order allowing the plain- tiff in the divorce case of Eliza Hull against ‘Wyman Hull, $1,000 as alimony, was made yesterday in the district court. Judge Wakeley finished hearing thred cases against the city of Florenco yesterda; afternoon. 1he plaintiffs n the suit were Edward Reeves, Corneclius Christian and John Stalon. The action involved the right to streets and alleys, The court has the matter under advisement. Pat Sweenoy, who was tried before Judge iroff on the charge of highway robbery, was convicted by the jur, The jury in the larceny case against Bflo Smith, a colored prostitute, after being out twenty.four hours, disagreed. She de wanded that it come to an agrecument, and court sent it out again for deliberation. County Court. The Nebraska Savings bank brought suit yesterday in the county court against S. K. Felton & Co., for $402 on a promissory note. Fitzgerald & Co. entered suit to recover $257 from James and Winfred Dempsey. The action is brought on a judgment ren: dered in the circuit court of Hardin county, Towa. An attorney named Alexander Troup commenced suit against Howard E. Schock, to recover $162, alleged to be due for attor- ney’s fees in conducting a complicated suit on a liver ystock. Rober Price, who, it is allezed, has been orting three children belonging to Charles Tief ommenced suit against him yesterday for $216, cluimed to have been ex- pended for board and clothing, United States Court. Russell & Co. filed a case in the United States circuit court agamst J. A. Buckstaff et al, to recover on a note for §4,960. Coal tar for sale by the single barrel or in car load lots. Winan French stobped at the Germania hotel, 916 South = Tenth, Wednesday night, and when he got- up in the morning he found that he had been robbed of a watch, knite and $35 in greenbacks. The fellow who had occupied the same bed with him was very drunk when he retired, and the ofticers arrested him on suspicion of being the thief. The officers searched his pockets and carefully examined the bed and bedding and the room, but no trace was found of the missing valuables. After the drunken fellow was taken to the po- lice station word was sent to the officers that the watch and knife had been found. Offi- cer Vaughan repaired to the hotel again and found that one of the pillows had been cut open and the swatch and knife thrast into the feathers. The rollof money could not be found, Officer Vaughn and Chief Seavey are of the opinion that Freuch was robbed by some inmate of the house who, fearing that he or she wonld be searched, resorted to this method of restoring the articles that would leuad to their conviction, Discases of the heart heely block.
