A great many of the liquor dealers are republicans and so far as I know, with or two exceptions, will loyaily support the national stato and legis- lative republican candidates, They have no ympathy with the crauks generally knotvn as political prohibitionists, and it matters not who may be nominated by cither the repub lican or democratic party, they will support in their own defense the candidates of the opposition, This is necessarily and nat- one urally so.
