Last Saturday evening a young man valked intothe store of Thompson & Helden and handed a check for §0, having the sig- nature of Sumuel Burns attached, to Mr. Belden to have him cash it. He was in his shirt sleeves and stated that he was one of Samuel Burns' clerks, and that Mr. Burns red the nccommodation. Mr. Belden handed him the money without hesitation, desiring to oblige his neighbor.
