The Broadway paving is now com- pleted with the exception of the five blocks between Twelfth and Seven- teenth streets. It will require about ten days to close up this gap, but no work will be done there this week, as the entire force will be put to work on Graham avenue. This street has been graded, curbed and the foundation put in perfect shape for paving, and the contractor has decided to pave it at once, as the grade is so steep that o rain would do considerable damage in its present unfinished state. 1t will re- quire five days to complete the job. The men will' then be sent back to Lower Broadway, which will also be com- pleted by the 20th of the present month unless some unforseen accident should occur to prevent. The work done is P every particular, and the citizens may well feel proud of it. They already show their appreciation of it by filling this broad thoroughfare with nobby turnouts every evening, and the citizens of Omaha are impatient'y wait- ing until they can join them. e For bargains 1o real estate see £.
