Travelers! Stop at the Beehtele. il < indidin Moving Its Freight Depot Rock Island railroad company is fully sast of the times and is determined to at the head of the line. The latest move in this city is to make arrange ments to give its shippers better advan for reaching its freight depot. The position of all the freight depots in the city are away from the paved streets and therefore diffi cult to reach in a muddy time. The Rock Island is the first to realize this foct aud is now wetting rendy to obviate it. Their freight depot is at present located at the cor- ner of Fifteenth avenue and Twelfth street, and they have let the contract, for moving it up Fifteent venue to a location between Sixth and Seventh streets, about a block and a half west of their passenger depot. The council will then be asked to pave Fifteenth avenue from Main street to the new location, thus giving a continuous paved street from the depot to the business part of the cit The work is to be done immediately is needless to suy that it will be appre Tne distance that the building will have to be moved is nearly half a mile and 8o brings freight over this line that much nearer the business portion of the city.
