A few seconds after, other explosions followed in rapid succession. Instantly flames burst from the Poole mill and the rear walls fellin. The fire burned with great fury, and although they hastened to get out itis feared some must have perished in the ruins. Getz killing himself by discharg- 1ng a shotgun loaded with buckshot into his heart. < has been drinking heavily for several weeks, and during the past few days has been almost erazed with liguor. About 5:30 this evening he took his gun and locked himself in a bedroom of his house. His wife pushed in the door and found him with the muzzle of the gun at his breast, tryiug to fire the gun by pushing at the trigger with the ram- rod. he took the ramrod from him and struggled to get the gun.
