T'he case was tried before the police judge, who found the parties guilty. Following the finding of the police court, the city council, under the ciause in the law that states that when partics are convicted of violating the Yiquor law that the council shall revoke their license, proceeded to revoke the license upon the certificate of the police judge. West, which has been ed in the finbock whale fishery on the eastern goast this season. on Oct, 6, when about fifteen miles cast-southeast from Seguin Island, off the coast of Maine, saw a large lone whale of that species and attempted its capture. A boat was lowered and manned by Capt. West, his mate, and four seamen.
