A Queer Suit, ‘T'he saloon raid, which was interrupted by the accidental and fatal shooting of Mr. Halderman, has caused some little commotion, and promises to have its de- tails shown up in court by a peculiar suit. On reaching Mr. Kenney's place he was suddenly stopped by a crowd of men. The German vege- table man knew nothing of the proposed id on the Minden saloons, but the raiders feared that he had moticed the rathering and that he would, by reaching ilnuhxu before they did, tell the Minden- spoil the surprise. He says men crowded around his ron, armed with revolvers, and nearly frightened him out of his wits. They told him that he must turn around and o back home instead of going on to Minden.
