A Very Sensational Development in the Powell Murder Case. The latest f re of the Powell murder 1se is very sy and sensational, in- deed, being nothing lessthan the est of one of the principal witnesses for the defense on the charge of perjury. The man’s name is Crosby, and he hails from Florence. When placed on the stand last week he swore that shortly before the death of Charles Leslie, who was shot by La Powell, the defendant, he upon the sick man in company with stranger whom he had never met before ad had a long Mmuhn r aflray. swore that Leslie told him that it was his (Leslie’s) intention to ‘“*doup” Powell that evening.
