Intermentat Lowell, Not many who read in the local papers the statement that Gen. Butler and the few friends who cscorted the remains of the brilliant and erratic deceased to Low- ell were accompanied by a lady dr in the deepest black knew that the lady was the widow of the late George H. Butler. Few in the city knew that h was married. The marriage announc ment calls attention to a secret that has been well kept. The marriage has for years been known to those who have watched this eccentric man, but none cared to disclose the sccret, and many endeavored to aid the noble and devoted woman to reclaim the man who has just died. The officers of the law, who have been such frequent guardians of the la George Butler, knew the secret of the woman, who was always on hand when needed, and they gave her what help they could, Now that the gravehas closed over the remains of George Butle it has been thought best to let ‘the world understand the secrcey of the devoted woman who for ears has been trying to reclaim her husband, and who now takes her legal name.
