It was found that there had been ex- ended since June 50th, 1883, the sum of 198,803, of which $40,000 had been ex- pended for construction of new school buildings and $120,000 for teachers' sal- aries, repairs and current expenses, A committee was appointed to adver- tise for bids for construction of a new kitchen, under appropriation mude by the twenty-first gencral assembly, with plans to be submitted by them. A complete examination of the several departments of the institution was made, and their condition found to be complete- ly satisfactory. The action on the report of the investigating committee of the legis- iature will be considered at the June meeting.
