THE MARKETS VERY UNEASY. The Strike Situation Gsverns Prices on Ohi- cago Board of Trade. EVERYBODY WANTS TO SELL. Wheat onened 14 e under the last quotations yesterday. and for the first half hour or such a_matter the tone of the market was strong and prices advanced #e. Cables were firm and an ad- vance in spring wheat of #a6s was reported. Asan offset consols were higher, and news from the winter wheat fields was confirma- fory of previous reports of fine prospects of a bounteous erop. The conditions were such us to inspire in speculative holders a desire to rake in their profits, and the market could not absorh the offerings and stand up under the load, The deeline did not stop till May wheat reached #0c and June Slife, a drop from the best figures of the morning of Zie. The demand was very weak, Buyers wanted a few of the choicest cattle of all weights if they could get them about 10¢ lower, while the general run of stock did not seel 10 be wanted, except at much greater redus tiol Bids on common to medium eattle in many eases were 15@e lower. Sales were made at about 10@15¢ decline from yesterday, and pri were fully 25¢ lower than Monday wmorning.
