In 1840 he was marrled to Miss Alice Crelghton, by whom he had ten children—six boys and four glrls. Of these five are still living, and all are resldents of this olty. They are James A. Mr. McShane resided in Perry county, Ohio, for forty-nlne years, and in 1881 removed to this city, where all his living children resided.
