Being awake to thie fact a number of young ladies of this city Wedneaday night entertained gentle- tleman frlends in a manner which would make glad the heart of any man. The party was given at Germania hall and the music was furnished by the Masical Union orchestra. Although late in the leap year seacon, yetno more pleasant party has been given in Omaha during the entire year and the ladies in chargs of the aflur certainly deserve greav credit for the manner in which everything was managed. A programme of sixteen numbers wags danced and after the ninth dance an in- termission was takon, during which an elegant lunch was spread beforo the gen- tlemen by their falr escorts. When the programms was completed the young gontlemen were heartily sorry that the pleasure must cease.
