They Gather Here Fro all Parts of lowa to Organize, Yesterday there was a great gathering of anti-prohibitionists from {all parts of the state, the gathering being made up almost wholly of those directly concerned in tho manufacture and salo of liquors, a hundred, and the meeting was held in Dohany’s old hall, Tho seesions were strictly sccrot, and no outsiders were pormitted to become The number reached over insiders, The purposo of the gathering was to form a state organization, notonly to prevent the enforcement of the pro- hibitory law, but also to set forces at work to secure in time the repeal of the law, A short time beforo tho pagsage of the law there was a state organization to oppose it, but that organization has be como disorganized. Sinco the passago of the law thero have been local organiza- tions but no state organization. The matter has been pretty thoroughly canvassed quictly by representative liquor men traveling about the state and corresponding, and as a result the dele- gates trom differont parts of tho state came here yosterday. Most of tho ses- sion was devoted to the discussing of ways and means, and a committeo was appointed to draw up a constitution a by laws, under which the oflicers could be elected, and tho organization complet- od.
