Not recognizing the fellow as a guest of the house Shaw asked him what he was doing. The strange replied that he had just been up stairs with the boys, and Shaw concluded it was some friend of the show folks who were stop- ping thero, let him pass. A fow minutes afterward the bell rang and Shaw going up stairs to sco what was wanted learned that somo one had been trying to break into the room of Miss Ten Bracke, one of the “Tactics” com- pany.
