State Securities—Dull, Stocks—The share market opened weak and deprossed for coal stocks; Granger and Trunk Line shares were also weak, Missouri Pacific, ‘Western Union, Northern Pacific and Frie were exceptionally strong, and in good de- mand. After mid-day it was announced that the Baltimore & Ohio restored grain rates from St. Louis eastward. 'Lhisjcaused a marked change for the latter, and ina very little time the market was 1@dc. higher, the improvement being goneral. Near2 o'clock the excitement subsided and there was a reac- tion of 4@}c. Subsequently astrong, buoyant movement set in and many shares sold up to the highest point of the day.
