Thousands Hastened to their Graves. THE ATHLETE'S ARENA. The Japanese WI‘{‘.X“GI‘AW“]S Another Victory at Cleveland, Relying on testimoniale written in viv- id glowing language of wome miraculous oures made by some largely puffed uj dootor or patent medicine has hastene thousands to their graves; believing in their almost insane faith that the same miracle will be performed on them, and that these testimonials make the cures, while the so called medicine is all the time hastening them to theirgraves. We have avoided publishing testimonials, as they do not make the cures, although we have Though He Butted Like a Ram and Soratohed Like a Girl. Prof, Donaldson Knocks Out an Opponent at Brainard, THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of them, of the most ynndurlnl oures, voluntarily sent us, It is our medicine, Hop Bitters, that makes the ocures. ]t has never failed and never can, We will give reference to any one for any dl.lBMl! similiar to their own if desired, or will re- fer to any neighbor, as there not a neighborhood in the known world but can show its cures by Hop Bitters. A LOSING JOKE. A prominent physician of Pittsburg said to a Indy patient who was complaining of her continued ill health, and of his inal bility to ure her, jokingly said: “Try Hop Bitters! The lady took it in earnest and used the Bit- ters, from which she obtained permanent health, She now laughs at the doctor for his ok, but he is not so_well pleased with it, as t cost hsm a good patient. FEES OF DOCTORS. The fee of doctors is an item that very many persons are interested in. We be- lieve the schedule for visits in_ £3.00, which would tax a man confined to his bed for a year, and in need of a daily vis- it, over $1.000 a year for medical atten- dance alone! And one single bottle of Hop bitters taken in time would save the $1.000 and all the year's sickness. A LADY'S WISH. “‘Oh, how I do wish my skin was as_clear nd soft as yours,” said a lady to her friend. 'You can easily make it so0,” answered friond. *‘How?” inquired the first lady, ‘‘By using Hop Bitters that makes pure, rich blood and {lnnming health, It did ‘z for me as you observe.” GIVEN UP BY THE DOCTORS, “‘Is it possible that Mr. Godfrey is up and at work, and cured by so smple a remedy?” ““I assure you it is true that he is en- tirely cured, and with nothing but Hop Bitters, aud only ten days ago his doctors ve him up and said he must die, from idney and Liver troubles!” But Refuses the Honor of a Bout With Duplesois, A Ponnsylvania Prize Broken Up by Police. THE JAP AGAIN VICTORIOUS, CLevELAND, Ohio, April 12.—Matsada Sarakichi and Aadre Christol wrestled a mixed match to-night at the city armory. There was a large attendance, Prof. Joseph Donely seconded Sarakichi and Duncan Ross seconded Christol, who was “the unknown” that Ross matched against Sarakichi after the match last Tuesday. The first bout, Japanese style, was won by the Jap in ten seconds, Christol going to the floor on all fours after two collisions. Sarakichi butting him about the neck. The second bout, catch-as-catch-can, was won by Christol in four minutes, by a leg and a half Nel- son lock, after a lively and interesting struggle. The third bout, Japanese style, was won in thirty seconds by the Jap, who butted like a battering ram, and slipped and scratohed like a_fighting school girl, much to Christol's. The fourth bout was won by OChristol in six minutes, after an exceedingly brisk and interesting contest by a body lock. The final bout was determined by lot for the Japanese style, and was won by the Jap in fifteen seconds. DONALDSON AS A KNOCKER OUT, MixNearors, Minn., April 12,—Some time since Prof. Donaldson, of this city, offered to knock out in four rounds any man in the northwest. Three candidates for the honor met and selected one named Beecher, of Brainard. To-night the men met in market hall, which was filled. Two rounds were fought, Donald- son winning the match. An effort was made to bring about a meeting between Donaldson and Duplesois, but Donald- son claimed he had performed his part and refused to fight two men in one night.
