At a late hour Thursday night a wo- man, who was evidently not unused to some of the ways of the world, was mak- ing the rounds of some of the saloons and gambling houses in search of her male companion, She was armed with a revolver, which she concealed under her shawl, but not so carefully but what its presence became known to at least one keeper of a house, who was considerably startled by her appearance,at the door. She wanted her husband, and it was in vain that the keeper of the house tried to persuade her not to enter, saying that her husband not within, She was to for herself, and pushing him to one side, she did look, but failing to find him, contin- ued her search elsewhere, !
