MRS. D. A. BENEDICT, s ()] ; DEALER IN Woven From the Romantic Career 7 and 9 Main Street. 0 i of an Ohio Man, Nrwark, O., November 10.—About thirty-five years ago there lived in Barnesville, this State, a family named Anderson, consisting of a husband, wife, and four or five children, the youngest being about four years. The husband concluded to leaye for the far West and seek his fortune in the gold-fields of the Rockies. He went, and for several iuan uninterrupted communication was ept up and remittances made to those left behind for sup- port, but suddenly communication coased, and death was sup- posed to have been the cause. As time passed on and no tidings of the husband came, Mrs, Anderson procured a divorce and became the wife of another. Mr., Andorson, being unable to got any tid- ings from his family, dreaded to return to the States. The years dragged on, and a fow days since an eldcrl{, well reserved gentloman appeared at the res- lence of Mr. Thomas Anderson, in the East End, and inquires: ‘‘Does Mr. Thomas Anderson live here?” He was answered by Mrs. Ander- sen in the affirmative, and he then asked for Mr. Anderson, and was informed that he was upstairs asleep. The old gentleman hastened up to Mr. Anderson’s room, fell on the neck of the sleeper and kissed and embraced him, making demonstrations indieative of the greatest delight. This awoke the sleep- ing man, and he demanded an explana- tion of the strange proceedings. The strango visitor, with tears in his eyes, cried out: “Why, Tom, I am your long- lost father; you were but four years old when I saw you last.” He then pro- ture.—[ Walnut Bureau. the ‘Sau-Ah-Brah entertainment go to|tceded to make minute statements, and HHDER T Bushnoll's carly this morning.
