OrrIcE oF Tix OMAHA BEE, Saturday Evening, October 27 REVIEW OF THE WEEK. Business during the week has been only fair and prices on nearly everything outside of grocers, dry goods, drugs and grain have been wealc and unsteady. The main reason for the slight falling off in the volume of trads which has been noticeable all along the line is at- tributed to the bad state of the weather. The live stock markat is more firm than last week, although prices have not advanced as was anticipated two or three days ago. Grain is steady and comparatively un- changed, with receipts not quite up to the averago, J Commission business has been good with the usual fluctuations in prices and a good supply existing. The receipts and shipments have been about equal and collections fully a8 good, if not better than last week, The following prices are charged retailars by jobbers, wholesalers and commission mer- chants, with the exception of grain, which is quoted at the prices furnished by the elevators and other local buyers: Grain, ‘Wugar—Cash No. 2, 73¢; No, 8, 64c.
