Congratulations and well wishes then poured in plenty and cordial, as might be expected from the frionds of 8o worthy a young couple. The bride has been a favorite here from her early girlhood, while the young man who thus wins her has no less friends. One of the most sumptuous feasts ever spread in a private residence in Council Bluffs was then served. The tables were beautiful in appearance, heavily adorned with flowers and pyramids of cakes and fruits, while in the center of that occu- pied by the bridal party was a pyramid white. They pulled up stakes the other day and disappeared, but yesterday married sister, and the man, who stands nominally as the head of the family, though from the appearance of the sup- port he furnishes, it secms a poor head. This family is in filth and spualor beyond description. The children are growing up in rags and ignorance and it seems time that the authorities took some ac- tion by which the members of the family conld be limited and those who are not self-supporting, except the man, should be cared for, while the man should be given some chance to work. The condi- tion of the family is certainly a disgrace to such a city as Council Bluffs. e— Transfers, The following deeds were filed for re- cord in the recorder’s office, September 18, reported for the Bre by P.
