Business generally is dull and prices have changed somewhat more than usual, but have again settled down at about the sume at the close of the week. Dry goods are quiet and unchanged, and groceries only moderately active. Live stock suffered quite a decline yesterday and to-day but will proba- bly not go any lower for some time, at least. Commission merchants have enjoyed a bet- ‘ter business during the week than any other class of dealers, although prices have declined on many articles in their line, Collections in all branches are reported as rather below the standard, many thirty and sixty day extensions being asked and given but very little paper having gone to protest.
