CrxcisNatt, July 12.—Archbishop Purcell's burial took place to-day in the little cemetery at St. Martins, Ohio. Rev. Dr. Callaghan was celebrant of the Sregorian mass in the chapel. When the procession_reached the cemietery priests surrounded the grave, nuns with lighted candles took a position within a small en- closure and the people formed on the out- side_of the enclosure. In this position the Benedictus w and the body lowered to the final r place. Before the burial the costly ornaments and gifts of friends were removed.
