Yesterday at; ncon he went to Mr, Davenport, telling him that he had got in & game of poker and lost his money, bor- rowed $40, giving up a gold watoh as securlty, made the statement at Moyer's that he was six daya out from Callfornia and looking at the hotels for California guests, he was nailed at the Millard and gave up one of the watches and returned $20 of the oash borrowed of Mr. Davenport.
