Leisenring, The third session of the Omaha Medical College was inaugurated last evening at the lecture hall of the col- lege. The result of the experiment is that tho Omaha medical college is an established real- ity and is now entering upon the third session in its career of usefulness, It is our desire to raire the standard of medical practitioners, rather thau lower it, and those studeuts, if there may be any such, who have come thinking they are to have an easy time and get a_diploma at the eud without work, had better take their grips and leave by the next train, as they will be most wofully mistaken, In addressing the new students the professor placed in its mnost impressive light she old truth, that hubits formed in youth are for the most part followed through life, and for that reason they should give close application to their work. That as they grew older and their time was largsly consumed by an extensive practice, they would regret the timo idled away in their youth, Many of them are away from homa and friends, In a city, and among a people whose vices are equally un- known to you.
