Among them are oats, rye, barley, wheat, corn, redtop, alfalfa, flax tim- othy, clover and blue grass. The lattor is from Dawson county, Nebras- ka. The timothy which is on exHhibi- tion, or rather one sample of it, was found in an isolated, space of ten feet, in Hall county. The blue grass specimen is an exceedingly good one, The alfalfa, a fodder plant which is attracting a great deal of at- tention hereabouts, while not tall, is an excellent specimen of the dwarf variety, and shows thatit can be grown and cultivated with success thisside of the Rockies as well as on the Pacific slope, It was grown in Dawnon coun- ty and has grown fincly in that etate, judging from the samples on show and the fino quality of the oiicake and oil exhibited.
