The pressure to eell at intervals was very marked, especially in case of the New Jersey Central, Denver & Rio Grande and Louisville & Nashville, The last named was depressed by the announcement that Fink had declined the presidency of the road. Shortly before noon the pressure to sell abated and a recovery of 4 to 2 per cent ensued.
