Andrew Havson was arrested on suspicion and yesterday had an ex- amination before Jodge Hitch, The proseculion believed they had a sure thing, but Hauson proved that at the ime of the murder was committod he wag dead drunk at a Mankato saloon. In bis case whisky did not prove alto- gother a curse, for he was discharged trom custody. Now the case 1s more compled than ever, aud it is dowbtful whether the murderer will ever be disccyered.
