Oata closed at 30fc at the elevators, but #old as high as 42¢ on the streeta—in fact, it has been impossible for dealers to ob- tain asufficient supply at any price, the demand for house use greatly exceeding the supply. Potatoes at the commission houses were Dringing only 75¢ during the week, but closed 10c higher. Bweet potatoes are j¢ per pound lower than last week. Eggs have been very scarce, but the sup- ply is improving and prices 2@3c lower.
