G. L. Stelling, of Dayton, Ohio, has written to the effect that he will accept the call to the pastorate of the Emanuel Lutheran church of this city. 1t will be remembered that Dr. Stelling was in Omalia a short time since when he preached a couple of discourses that at once stamped him as aprofound theologician and logical reasoner. The entire congregation were so well pleased with him that they tendered him a call to the va- cant pastorate. Dr. Stelling said conld arrive at no definite conclusion until he had consulted his friends. This e has done with the result men- tioned. Dr. Stelling succceds the late Dr. Baughor, as pastor of the Luth- eran church, and comes to Omaha with a well-carned roputation as a public speaner. Until theirmew edifice at Fifteenth and Harney strects is com- pleted the congregation will probably worship in either Boyd's opera house or Masonic hall.
