KTOCKS, The stock market this morning was firm throughout with general advance in prices. The improvement in the general ist nmred from § to 1§ per cent. After 10 o'clock there was some reacti from best prices, but there was a subse- quent recovery, and the market closed strong with the highest prices of the day generally current.
