An Amusing Result of an Omaha Woman's Jealousy. Pistols for One, Grip Sacks for Two. A few days since a merchant of Omahs, who by the way his a very jealous wife, was called west on busi- ness, to be gone two or three wecke. His wife, who usually accompanied him on euch trips, was not invited this time, and her suspicions were aroused the moment her husband started. About ten daysafter the gentleman, on leaving his hotel in his hurry to catch & train, forgot his satchel When he reached the next town he immediately wrote the landlord to have the baggsge forwarded to him. Bat through some mistake it was sent direct to thiscity. A few days after thie, s the jealous wife sat imagin- ing all eoris of wicked things about her absent lord, & boy putin his appearance and eaid that Mr. X. had sent in his satchel and wanted to know if he should bring it upto the house or leave it at the store. **Bring it down at once,” ssid Mrs. X., in surprise, *‘ wonder wht it means? When the satchel arrived she took it at once to her room, and setting it down in a corner, turned to go out. Bat ehe halted at the door and said, “Now I wonder if John hasn't sent something—a present, or a note; or maybe he has sent in bis washing to have itsent to the laundry. Auyho, 1 believe I ought to open it and se2.” She got down on her knees and examined the fastenings; it was firm and would not budge. She was more anxious than ever now, and tried to open it.
