He didn't agree that the decision of the state was final with the senate; there is no newly discovered evidence of frauds known now that could not have been known then. The evidence is mot material and what is material is based on evidence tso unworthy of belief. Forest Fires, Special Dispatch to The Bee. GissoN Mivis, N. J., May 14, 4 p. m.—Forest fires are raging in the vi- cinity of Allison, One hundred square miles of valuable timber has been de- stroyed. Loss in Burlington, Ocean and Cumberland countles will be very great. Bpeclal Dispatch to The Bee. Mivrorp, Pa., May 14—4 p. m.— Forest fires continue. Numerous houses and over three million feet of lumber bave been burned. Six thou- sand acres are on fire. A light rain is now falling. 1,000 People Rendered Houseless Special dispatch te The Bee. Miztox, Pa., May 16—1 8. m.—A fire broke out yesterdsy morning, at 11:30, in Murray, Domegall car works, snd in a short time the works were in ruins. The flames were fanned by a strong wind, and leaped from buildiog to building, and into the very heart of the place. Help was for to all cities within reach, and several engines reeponded, but could do very little towards sub- duing the flames. House wfter house fell victim to the relgning element till between 500 and 600 were a mass of smouldering embers. Two banks, ail the churches but one, the news. prer office, and all but three business ouses were destroyed. It was a ter- rible sight, and carried terror to the hearts of the residents, who saw their houses swept away like a flash. Tho area burned over is_three.quarters of mile in length and one-fourth of a le broad.
