[Laughter.]” —— JSpecial dispatch ® the Chicago Times.] DeTrOIT, May 5. Jacob Schornstein,of Maple street in this eity, returned from a visit to the country on last night, and surprised his wife in the arms of a lover. Ho at once retired to the woodshed and hanged himself to a beam. His wifeand her lover fol- lowed him out, and cut him down in time to save his life. Now, who would have suspected that Jacob could act sosilly. Would it not have been more rational for him to have retired to the wood- shed, picked up a hickory stick and surprised the lover's both with this wooden billy-doux. But then it was so affectionate and consjderate for kjs loving wife and-her doting paramour, tosut Jacob down befare his wrath had cooled. Ail that ends iswell, uv coorse.
