The mass for the pre-sanctified. at 8 o'clock was offered by Rev. Philip J. Mooney. The ceremonies consisted of a Prophecy, Osee 6. 1-6, a lesson, Exodus 12. 1-11, the Passion of Our Divine Lord, John 18-19, special prayers and supplications for all orders and conditions of men, the adorition of the oross and the mass of the pre-sanctified. The vestments were of black and silver, as during a requiem. mass, the organ was mute and no hymns were sung. During this mass there was no con- secration, but the celebrant consumed the species comsecrated the day before.
