Brown in the superior court at New London Thursday afternoon, a hearing in damages was of New London against Joseph Davis for the death of her husband, Lewis A. Beckwith, in an automobile accident on the Norwich road just over the city line In Waterford on June 10, 1918. Judgs ment by default was entered in the case about a year ago. Arguments Before Judge Brown. Arguments were made before Judge Allyn L. Brown in the superior court in New London Thursday morning in the case of Mary T. Sullivan against the City of New London, appeal from the board of relief. Mrs. Sulllvan listed estate in Williams street in 1918 at $5,- 500 and this amount was increased to $10,000 by the assessors and reduced $1,000 by the board of relief. Judge Brown reserved decision. From these figures the poultrymen will be able to strike an average figura showing the income per month "from each hen. At the end of the year similar reports will be madje for the twelve month pe- riod and the average income per hen will be determined. There were about 15 poultrymen present at the meeting and their flocks total about 7,000 hens. A similar club was organized in Led- yard Wednesday afternoon with the election of Andrew Avery as presideni and Raymond Holdridge secretary. Prof. Jones of Storrs College addressed the meeting.
