DAVIS THEATRE, With The Right to Love, his seoond in- dependent production, George Fitsmaurics has definitely established his reputation as a motion picture producer who ean combine lavishly artistie backgrounds with dramatic aclion. This picture, which opened & three days' run at the Davis theatre last evening, was recelved with unusual favor. Mr. Fitzmaurice has taken a drama of mismated husbands and wives, With soenes laid in Wurkey, and made a pleture that holds the interest throughout. Love- Iy Mae Murray is the ill-treated wife of Lord Falkland, the British representative at Constantinople. Miss Murray s an excellent emotional actress. David Powell is suave and easis Iy at home in his role. The other méfm< bers of the cast have been likewiss adroitly chosen. They include Alma Tell, Holmes E. Herbert and Harian, Ouida Bergere wrote the photoplay from 4 French original. It is & Paramount res lease, as is also the comedy featuring Al Bt. BEEED THEATER, It is an appealing story of a village clera gyman who is big enough in personality and character to hear and heal all the troubles of his parishioners, young old, lovers and wife-beaters, and start the mall anew oii the road to happiness. It abounds in rich humer, romanes and pathos in agreeable portions and sustaing a keen interest throughout. ‘While an Irish atmosphere prevails, it is entrely non-sectarian and in me way deals with any question of nationality or ‘Wiillam Desmond as the young clergy- man §s splendidly cast. No musical comedy seen hers in Bewe eral seasons has provided more delight~ ful entertainment than is offered in Girls' ‘n' Bverything. The performance is smooth and repid, with a wealth of it~ ing melodies aud a cast of exoeptional merit. The singing is splendid and the dancing rythmical and graceful.
