PARTLY. CLOUDY TODAY;" FAIR TOMORROW What Is Going On Tonight Motion Pictures at Breed Theatre. Vaudeville and Motion Pictures at Davis Theatre. ANNOUNCEMENTS A series of Dental Hygiene Items by Dr. P. A. Schwartz wi.* appear in this paper on Mondays and Fridays. Two Gatherings at Y. M. C. A. Sunday The Sunday breakfast will be served again to the men in uniform on Sun- dgy morning at 9.15 o'clock by ladies of the Y. M. C. A. Auxiliary, and a | brief address will be delivered by a layman of the city. At 5.30 p. m., another “get together" will be held in the “Y” lobby under electric fans. Swahn's orchestra will furnish music and in addition to play- ing several selections will accompany the singing of the pooular songs and hymns. Former Mayos Allyn L. Brown ‘will make the address of the occasion and this will be well worth hearing. The ladies of the Greeneville churches will serve lunch to all attending. A special invitation is extended to the men in uniform and civilians will be welcomed. DAVIS THEATRE. There will be four shows at the Da- vis today, at 1.30, 3,15, 615 and 8.15, and an exceptional ' programme of feature pictures will be shown that is by far the best bill of the season. If you think nothing new in the way of a story of adventure and re- mance can be written, see “Fighting Through,” the big seven part special feature. W. Christy Cabanne, a na- e of the south, has produced an unusual an dthriliing story around a young southerner who has been edu- sated to believe in the Lost Cause of the South. The action shifts from Virginia to Mexico, where the hero, who has been branded a coward and a traitor, re- deems himself and once more stands high in the estimation of the girl he loves. E. K. Lincoln, himself a breezy, whole-hearted American, has a_more than ordinary interesting role in “Pighting Through” and takes every advantage of the opportunities offered. The next feature is Ethel Clayton's “Maggie Pepper.” a five part comedy drama, a department store picture, from the famous play by Charles Klein and relea\:d by Paramount. With a sympathetic touch and a great knowl- edge of human nature both author and scenarist made this the epic of the marts of trade. It is a picture that will not soon be forgotten by those who witness it. Chester Conklin in “Love's False Faces." a Mack Sennett comedy, com- plgtes tkhe she AUDITORIUM. The Tokio Girls scored big hit yes- terday in their presentation of The Necklace. The special setting show- ing Tokio Land made one think thaat they were witnessing a $2.50 attrac- tion. This company certainly have fulfilled their promise as to produc- tions and will be welcomed anytime by the lovers of clean and classy mu- sical comedies, The comedian, Irish Billy Lewis and Hary Moore do not resort to the oid worn out stuff, but are right up to date, and Miss Bar- rows, the lady baritone soloist, render- #d two high class solos and won bl applause. Loretta Gale returned to t| cast and put over “The Yankee Boys" with pep and snap and her many ad- mirers were pleased to see her again. This company has been enlarged to fourteen people. Babe Miller sang Oh, How She Can Sing. and this little lady = A live wire. Willard Dyer in the Rainbow Song” and Miss Kershaw and M Calvert pleased their many frien The production 1s handsome- Iy gec, and has an interesting plot The big featuge is the Kinogram ple- ture, showing the Yale-Harvard race from th, start to the finish. Several Norwich people are seen in the picture. Come agd pick out your friends. BREED THEATRE. Alice Brady in her latest Select pic- ture “Redhead” iy the feature attrac- tion at the Breed theatre today. “Red head” is one of the best pictures Miss Brady has appeared in for some time, It affords her an excellent role for which she is well adapted—that of a cabaret girl, who marries a son of the idle rich one night, when he is under the influsnce of liquor. She s00n regrets her mistake. Her life is a hard one full of the petty cares which a househ;'d is bound to assume —especially when there is very little money in it and the lord of the house is determined to dislike his lady. But every cloud has a silver lining and well see “Redhead, Alma Rubens will also be r<en in “Restless Souls.” This is a beautiful production. From a spec tacular standpoint little more could be desired than tlz suriptuous set- tings picturing the environment of the idle rich, nicely contrasted with cot- tage abode of the lonely wife.
