There were forty men in the squad. They came by train, but their shells and attendants wore on four U-boat chasers which anchored in the river. After luncheon at a hotel the oars- men went direct to the course for a practice spin. They will live in a club- house at Torresdale, Pa., a suburb of Philadelphia, and comé to town early tomorrow for tryouts. The Anpapolis crews were. the first to arrive. Syracuse is expected tonight or tomorrow. University of Pennsyl- vania has had its men bard at work on the course for some days.
