" 2 - Among property changes for the i / ? | week, James McCoy has ' sold the house on Eastman street, now occu- pied by James Cahoon. The price paid was $2,800, Mrs. R. R. Church has sold the lot at the corner of Mary and East Main street to Alex McNicol for $3,000. William McNicol has sold to Hugh Davis one of his building lots at the foot of Tracy hill, opposite the one time Dyer property. Two years ago a party of land boomers came to town. They bought a large tract of land, on the Smoky:Phillips farm 13ter owned by R. M. Brown and later still by Mr. Ouillette. Streets were laid out, lots surveyed, and Belvidere park was established. It grew up like some of the western cities, all in a night. They sold every identical lot. The property business seems to be on the move here all of a sudden. This week ‘William McNicol has had an opportu- nity to close a deal with a land pros- vecting company for a considerable part of his large farm just north of the borough”line.
