Dear Social Corner Friends: Febru- ary 5th was an ldeal winter day for the meeting of Club No. 2 at Bucking- ham Memorial, The early morning was not so promising as we had desired, Dbut by 10 o'clock the sun was shining brighily and the keen bracing air was so invigorating that it seemed too good to stay at home,.and 10 o'clock found us starting for the car station to spend the day at the rooms of Club No. 2, where we felt sure we should meet many Social Corner Sisters whom we should be glad to spend the day with. At Jewett City we were joined by Sally Sycamore, Delilah Deal, Vira and Comfort. Arriving at Buckingham Memorial, we found a goodly number already there, with Scottie, Calla Lily, Nellie Bly and Blossom as busy as bees tak- ing care of the good things as they were brought in, and arranging the long table for the use of the large company expected. ‘We were delighted to ses Married and Happy and Tidy Addly, whom we had missed so much from our gather- ings, and Lucy Acorn and Crimson Rambler, who add so much to the in- terest of the-Social Corner. It was surely a red letter day for Club No. 2. There were about fifty present, who after singing “Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow” par- took of the excellent dinner so at- tractively arranged by Scottie and her willing and efficient helpers. After dinner many willing hands made light work of washing and wip- ing the dishes and returning them to their places. Then what a buzzing there was! Dverybody is always so happy at Club No. 2's meetings. Each seems to try to make everyone else hap so of course *they are happy themselves, and no discords. We were all glad to have Dearie with us once more, and ehe added to the joyfulness of the occasion by her skil- ful playing of the piano. Biossom, ever ready to do all she can for the good of all, added to the musical part of the program, followed by Joan. who played for the light- footed dancers in’ the enjoyment of the Virginia reel. There were readings by Amanda, Delilah Deal, Aunt Mary and recita- tions by ‘irandma H. and Miss Nor- thrup which were much enjoyed. Tak- en all together, it was a most enjoy- able day with not a single thing curring to mar the happiness of any one, only the absence of those whom we should have liked to have had meet with us. T earnestly hoped that Uncle Sam's Davghter would meet with us 50 wi could all get acquainted with her, face to_face. With love and good wishe ocial Corner Friends.
