Criticism of the so-called “Morrison education code’ to be brought before the General assembly this week has heen sent ont by the Conmecticut Fed- eration of Teachers to members of schoo! committees and other interested persons. The criticism is eeven pages jong, and deals with every phase of the proposed bill for the centralization of school contrel. Among other things, it states that the chief duty of the lo- cal school boards “is te act as obedi- ent puppets and figureheads for the ner of education—yield _to y function and duty which vouches real autherity, and retain nothing but empty titles for them- sleves.” The Morrison code has finally been printed a_copy is in the hands of some of the Willimantic people.
